Synopsis: The presentation will cover the background on Kaneva (formerly Klaus Entertainment) and our partners. The audience will learn about the Kaneva Game Platform feature set and architecture, features of the Kaneva Game Editor along with a demonstration of the editor and the Kaneva Studio game, "Gorilla Paintball". The Kaneva portal will be discussed along with the value proposition to game developers. Topics including the business model and how game developers can profit from building games and assets for games will also be discussed. There will be a question and answer phase with several of the key members from Kaneva fielding questions.

Presenters:      Fred Tanzella, Executive Producer
   Fred has over 20 years experience leading development and marketing large scale enterprise and commercial software applications across multiple industries. Prior to joining KEI, he has held senior management positions at EAS, Critical Logic, i2Go, Air2Web, BEA Systems and most recently AirDefense in roles that included Chief Security Officer, CTO, VP of Engineering, and VP of Product Management. As the Chief Security Officer for AirDefense, Fred worked closely with several government agencies as well as Fortune 500 companies to help direct preventative measures against network attacks and protect sensitive information. At BEA Systems, Fred was a key contributor to the formation of the XML/Web Services Expert Group and helped develop a roadmap for Pervasive Computing for their flagship product WebLogic. Prior to BEA Systems, he helped define strategy and direction of the Air2Web Mobile Internet Platform which has become the industry leading enterprise wireless enabler. Before joining Air2Web, Fred was a founding member of i2Go, and led the engineering team in the design and development of the first interactive MP3 player. While at Critical Logic, Fred was responsible for architecture and development of Internet and security applications for government, Fortune 500 and foreign government customers. As an industry expert, Fred is regularly invited to speak at industry conferences both nationally and abroad and has appeared on ZDnet TV, CNN , The Money Channel and ESPN Radio. Fred is often quoted in national publications and considered a trusted source for both analysts and media. He has authored technology patents in the areas of Internet security, wireless security, wireless technology, mobile commerce, and multi-media as well as numerous white papers published on these subjects. Fred holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia Tech.
