Scrum Best Practices Writeup
IGDA - October 23rd Meeting; Texas State Capitol, Room E2.012
By: Tracie Cook

It was a cold and stormy evening; too stormy for a SCRUM panel discussion some would have said…but they didn't, because it wasn't. It was actually a crisp, cool fall evening; perfect for a SCRUM panel.
Tuesday night was a modest turnout of brave professionals attending the SCRUM panel discussion. The meeting was held in a basement room of the Texas Capitol building, courtesy of the Texas Film Commission.
The meeting was sponsored by Dell, of course, who hosted a pre-panel discussion on the future of PC gaming. At 7pm the SCRUM forum began with Gordon Walton moderating the discussion.
Last night's speakers included:
Jared Carr (SOE)
Alex Chrisman (Junction Point)
Richard Leczynski (Bioware)
Joye McBurnett (Amaze Entertainment)
The event wrapped up around 8:30 and nearly the entire turn-out marched down to Scholz Garten for free drinks and a little late night snack. Much merriment ensued.
It was a successful evening. Hope we see you out there soon!
