The HBMG Foundation Double Dares You to Create Art with the Big Kids
The HBMG Foundation is excited to announce the 2008 ArtSpark
Festival's Call for Applicants. Run wild inside our creative
playground, but don't forget to play nice during this twelve week
collaborative competition, beginning May 26th and concluding August
17th.
The rules of the game are as simple as 1-2-3-4...

1.) Start with nothing.
2.) Use a piece of visual art to "spark" the creation of a video game
or play.
3.) "Spark" a new piece of visual art with the development of the
play or video game.
4.) Finish with a public showcase of your work and the chance to walk
away with a cash prize!
Don't forget to enjoy the toys that the HBMG Foundation gives you
along the way; a budget, workspace, industry workshops, and equipment to help facilitate the process.

Musicians are invited too!
THE HBMG FOUNDATION IS EXPANDING THE 2008 ARTSPARK FESTIVAL
Musicians are invited to join visual artists as the initial "spark."
Whether you're a rock band, acapella choir, hip hop-mix master, coffee
can shaker, soloist, or electronica extraordinaire, the HBMG
Foundation wants you to come out and play. Fill out an application
and submit an original composition of music not older than one year.
If accepted into the 2008 ArtSpark Festival, you'll create new music
that responds to your Creative Team's ArtSpark experience. The HBMG
Foundation is offering free recording time in a well-equipped studio
to the lucky kids who apply and get accepted.
Playground expansion for the 2008 ArtSpark Festival also includes an
invitation for marketing geniuses everywhere to come join the fun. The
HBMG Foundation challenges you to form a strategy that will promote
your Creative Team's Music Showcase, Visual Art Showcase, and Theatre
or Video Game Showcase. You will pitch your campaign to marketing
company executives and receive feedback from potential employers.
The HBMG Foundation has one final trick up its sleeve. With a bigger
and better ArtSpark Festival, why award $10,000 when you can award
$15,000 in prizes to the two winning Creative Teams!
