Certain Affinity seeks IT Systems Administrator
Certain Affinity, Inc., a videogame software development studio with 25 workstations, numerous servers, and multiple out-of-state business partners is seeking a skilled, energetic, experienced IT Systems Administrator.
The qualified candidate will be able to demonstrate the following proficiencies:
- Windows XP Professional and Windows Server 2003 system administration
- Physical LAN setup from the ground up, administration, and troubleshooting
- Installation, configuration and administration of network devices, including Cisco firewalls
- Windows DNS and Active Directory setup and administration
- Workstation and printer setup, software installation and troubleshooting
- Setup and administration of VPN and remote access
- FTP site administration
- Extensive experience setting up and maintaining secure networks
- Administration of automated backup tools and techniques
- Experience with HTML, PHP and XML
- SQL database setup and administration
The following are also desirable (but not required):
- Experience administering Perforce version control software
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification
- Familiarity with IIS and Apache web servers
- Linux/Unix system administration skills
- Experience administering wiki sites
- Experience with customer-facing web services, including forums
- General knowledge of data/voice communications providers
- Experience with automated software build systems
- C# or .NET programming
- General programming experience and language familiarity
- Experience setting up automated testing environments
- Prior experience working as a systems administrator for a software development business, especially game software or even an Xbox 360 registered developer
