Certain Affinity seeks IT Systems Administrator

Certain Affinity, Inc., a videogame software development studio with 25 workstations, numerous servers, and multiple out-of-state business partners is seeking a skilled, energetic, experienced IT Systems Administrator.

The qualified candidate will be able to demonstrate the following proficiencies:

  • Windows XP Professional and Windows Server 2003 system administration
  • Physical LAN setup from the ground up, administration, and troubleshooting
  • Installation, configuration and administration of network devices, including Cisco firewalls
  • Windows DNS and Active Directory setup and administration
  • Workstation and printer setup, software installation and troubleshooting
  • Setup and administration of VPN and remote access
  • FTP site administration
  • Extensive experience setting up and maintaining secure networks
  • Administration of automated backup tools and techniques
  • Experience with HTML, PHP and XML
  • SQL database setup and administration

The following are also desirable (but not required):

  • Experience administering Perforce version control software
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification
  • Familiarity with IIS and Apache web servers
  • Linux/Unix system administration skills
  • Experience administering wiki sites
  • Experience with customer-facing web services, including forums
  • General knowledge of data/voice communications providers
  • Experience with automated software build systems
  • C# or .NET programming
  • General programming experience and language familiarity
  • Experience setting up automated testing environments
  • Prior experience working as a systems administrator for a software development business, especially game software or even an Xbox 360 registered developer
