Senior Game Designer

    Primary Responsibilities
    • A senior individual contributor that designs games at the interface, content and engineering levels
    • Owns level creation process from start to finish:
    • Plays a key role in developing concepts and treatments with proven ability to design full level outlines incorporating multi-discipline feedback
    • From outline, create detailed working design documents that can be used by project management team to scope work
    • Collaborating with art and programming teams, develop prototypes of gameplay functionality
    • Communicates ideas with various product development staff to solicit feedback and ensure support during prototype development
    • Takes prototyped levels to final level of completion using custom in-house editors and scripting, working closely with game development team.
    • Serves as a mentor to junior members of staff

    Qualifications

    • 5 - 8 years game design experience
    • Shipped two or more commercially successful titles.
    • Ability to successfully multitask under considerable pressure.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Collaborative team player.
    • Creative thinker

    Preference to applicants with:

    • Proven ability with middleware game engines.
    • Lua or Python level scripting ability.

Environment Artist

    Primary Responsibilities for a Mid-Level Environment Artist:
    • Provide texturing, lighting, and model placement for designed levels
    • Create game worlds using our in-house editing tools
    • Give input on level design issues and provide creative solutions
    • Work from concept art to create environments
    • Communicate with designers, programmers and other members of the art team

    Qualifications for a Mid-Level Environment Artist:

    • 3-6 years of relevant development experience
    • Strong background in art or architecture
    • Understanding of how the environment affects game play
    • Experience using game level and world building tools
    • Knowledge in Photoshop, and fluent in Max/Maya, 3ds MAX or Maya
    • Prior experience in level design is a plus
    • Creativity, innovation, and problem solving
    • Understanding of real-time modeling and texturing constraints, and the ability to work within them
    • Ability to translate concept and reference artwork into 3d game assets, efficiently and within game engine specifications
    • Able to work within a schedule and adapt quickly to changes
    • Traditional art skills and conceptual abilities are a plus
    • Experience with real-time shaders and applications a plus

Mid Level Artist (Contract)

    Primary Responsibilities for a Mid-Level Artist, (Contract):
    • Creates assigned aspects of the artistic look across products and characters.
    • Creates artistic concepts and art that meet art direction, creates storyboards, and executes background drawings and character designs.
    • Works with producers to help visualize and develop game design.
    • Communicate with designers, programmers and other members of the art team

    Qualifications for a Mid-Level Artist, (Contract):

    • 3-6 years of relevant experience.
    • Strong background in art or architecture
    • Knowledge in Photoshop, and fluent in Max/Maya, 3ds MAX or Maya
    • Creativity, innovation, and problem solving
    • Able to work within a schedule and adapt quickly to changes
    • Traditional art skills and conceptual abilities are a plus
    • Receptive to art direction and perform well within a collaborative team environment.
