Associate Producer

    The Associate Producer will be responsible for managing a team of developers for a high profile Xbox 360 and PS3 title. He/She will work very closely with the Producer/Project Manager to ensure the successful release of AAA title. This also requires working closely with the programmers, artists, designers and leads to facilitate proper communication, prioritize tasks, set attainable goals, identify issues, resolve issues and assist the team and project.
    The Associate Producer will also have strong ownership of scheduling and task management as well as localization and the submission process. He/She will also oversee quality assurance to help define workflow and processes.

    Responsibilities
    The responsibilities of the Associate Producer include, but are not limited to:

    • Ensuring overall quality and completion of the title
    • Managing multiple areas of development such as scheduling, design, programming, art, quality assurance, localization and submission
    • Packaging and documenting deliverables and builds for milestone delivery
    • Work closely with the team and Producer/Project Manager to identify and resolve immediate and projected issues
    • Facilitate communication between team members
    • Set and prioritize goals on a regular basis at a team and a high level and follow-up on those goals
    • Schedule and track tasks for team members and report progress
    • Work with the QA Lead to create and establish quality assurance workflow and processes
    • Provide feedback and suggestions to improve the game, processes and workflow
    • Development and execute on regular postmortems throughout development
    • Work closely with designers, programmers and artists to ensure completion of tasks and deliverables by the required dates
    • Asses the status of the project and the build to reprioritize tasks and goals

    Qualifications:

    This is an experienced Associate Producer position that has worked and shipped a console title from start to finish in a production capacity.

    Requirements:

    • Worked on and shipped at least one console title
    • Experience managing multiple development pipelines such as design, art and programming
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficient with MS Office and MS Project
    • High School graduate or equivalent
    • Ability to identify and resolve issues as they occur and in advance
    • Familiar with the localization process
    • Familiar with the submission process
    • Experience managing quality assurance leads and testers and bug tracking software
    • Ability to identify areas of improvement in processes and development workflows
    • Experience creating high-level and detailed schedules and tracking those schedules over the course of development
    • Experience in a leadership role to provide direction and the ability to take direction
    • Familiar with common TRC/TCR console requirements
    • Highly organized, able to multi task and self-motivated
    • Demonstrated the passion and drive to get things done.

      Preferred Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft and/or Sony submission process
    • Experience with localizing multiple languages
    • Have worked in the industry in a production capacity for a minimum 1-2 years
    • Have worked on at least one Xbox and/or PS3 title from pre-production to release
    • Have experience working with ported titles
    • Have experience as a game tester and/or QA Lead
    • Ability to communicate and work with external parties

Technical UI Programmer

    The Technical UI Programmer is responsible for implementing the HUD and UI for a highly anticipated Xbox 360 and PS3 title. The Programmer will work closely with artists, designers, programmers and production to design, implement and iterate on a flash based menu and interface system. Experience with Scaleform and Flash is highly desirable.

    Responsibilities

    The responsibilities of the Technical UI Programmer include, but are not limited to:

    • Implementing UI/HUD designs with Flash Action Script (2.0) and Scaleform
    • Work closely with designers, artists, programmers and production to create an intuitive yet complex interface
    • Provide updates, report progress and raise any issues to production and/or the technical lead
    • Provide feedback and iterate on evolving UI/HUD designs

    Qualifications:

    The Technical UI Programmer position is mid to junior level

    Requirements:

    • At lest 1 year of professional experience using Flash Action Script (2.0)
    • Some programming experience in c, c++, Java, c# or similar
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficient with MS Office
    • High School graduate or equivalent

      Preferred Skills:
    • At least 2 years computer science education beyond High School with an emphasis in programming
    • Experience 1-2 years using Flash on an embedded system such as video game console, cell phone or equivalent
    • Experience using the Scaleform Flash library

Gameplay /Technical QA Tester

Gameplay QA Testers are responsible for maintaining the level of quality for a highly anticipated Xbox 360 and PS3 title. Testers will work with other testers, test leads, programmers, designers, artists and production to report and resolve game issues. They will use a popular bug tracking database to enter, track and regress bugs. Testers will also be creating, maintaining and executing on test plans to verify game functionality.
Technical QA Testers have the added responsibility for overseeing the technical test scripts, test cases and automated testing for the game. They will maintain the available QA test tools and adapt them as needed for the project. If required, additional test tools may also need to be implemented by Technical QA Testers.

    Responsibilities
    The responsibilities of the Gameplay QA Tester include, but are not limited to:
    • Reporting, tracking and regressing gameplay issues using a bug tracking database
    • Develop, implement and execute test plans addressing different areas of many systems
    • Work closely with designers, artists, programmers and production to raise issues and prioritize work
    • Maintain and create bug reports from the bug tracking database
    • Analyze the game for defects by following detailed test plans and/or ad hoc testing methods
    • Analyze game build and approve them for development use

    Additional responsibilities of the Technical QA Tester include, but are not limited to:

    • Analyzing, adapt and maintain existing test tools and scripts
    • Execute on scripted or automated test plans
    • Create new test tools and scripts as needed to improve testing efficiency
    • Generate bug reports from automated testing and scripts

    Qualifications:

    The Gameplay and Technical QA Testing roles are entry-level “Contract” positions

    Gameplay/Technical QA Tester requirements:

    • Previous quality assurance experience
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a team environment
