Sr. Producer/Producer

Job Summary:
- Ultimately responsible for overall product quality and project integrity.
- Responsible for driving all phases of the product development cycle from design through implementation, including programming, design, art, audio and quality assurance.
- Ensuring that all project tasks are completed on time, as per the requirements of the project milestones.
- Work closely with the publisher to establish, refine and maintain the project vision.
- Earn and maintain the respect of the team and clearly communicate the project vision to the team and all project stakeholders.
- Oversees and ensures that the work product is in-line with the project vision, while collaborating with project managers, programmers, artists, designers, writers and sound designers to incorporate many creative and technical solutions into a single product.
- Helping to troubleshoot problems which effect the completion of their projects.
- Must be willing to take instruction and accept responsibilities delegated to him or her by the studio Management staff, and carry out those instructions and responsibilities with little to no supervision in an expeditious, highly efficient, effective and professional manner.
- Identifies potential problems in advance and works with Project staff to find preventative solutions.
- Collaborates with Studio Management, Publisher, and Leads to adjust project goals and design revisions on the fly as necessary to adapt to changing situations and meet established schedules.
- Close level of interaction with the Project Manager; work together to meet production schedules and deadlines for product-related materials.
- In partnership with Project Manager, helps settle project-related conflicts and disputes, and counsel marginal performers, according to HR policies.
- Keeps studio executive staff, the publisher and/or marketing staff up to speed on product status and vision through the preparation and presentation of appropriate project materials (e.g., milestone updates, demos, etc).
- Responsible for ensuring all game documentation is properly maintained and current.
- Providing feedback to publishers in regards to any project issues or concerns they may have.
- Producer acts not only as the voice of the team but also of the publisher and is ultimately responsible for directing the team to deliver tasks as on time and within specifications and quality targets.
- Acquires project documentation from the leads, and works with them to ensure these documents are maintained and up to date.
- Works to ensure deliverables meet the level of quality expected by the management staff
- Provides the management staff with a weekly status report, and presentation showing the current game status.
- Works with Management and Director Staff in improving the Product Development process.
- Works with Director staff on dealing with departmental issues and quality control.
- Provides feedback to director staff on team members performance in the various disciplines.
- Works with Project Manager to ensure the project schedule is created, maintained and executed.
- Provides input to Project Leads, Project manager, and studio management, on the practicality of initial design goals as they may relate to scheduling.
- The Producer will lead all team meetings, and project leads meetings, providing the team with project status and direction.
- Primary point of contact with the publisher.
- Ability to demonstrate all the fine points of the game they are directing.

The Producer is ultimately responsible for the overall vision, and direction of any and all projects assigned to him/her. With information provided by the Project Leads, as well as with the criteria and plans of the studio's Management staff, the Producer will set forth, develop and activate plans to guide each team to completion on time and on budget.
The Producer must maintain the organizational integrity of the Development Team. Where applicable, the producer will apply himself or herself to continually improve production conditions and workflow.

Qualifications:
This is an advanced Management position so it is important that the employee has the experience of at least 5 years in the Industry, and at least 3 years in a relevant leadership position working within a team structure, preferably in working in medium-large size Next Gen console teams.
Must have delivered a minimum of one high quality title on a next generation console.
The Producer should also have a good technical knowledge as related to the ‘off the shelf’ software tools used in the studio, and the hardware platforms being developed on.

Special Effects Artist

Edge of Reality is searching for a special effects artist to join its highly creative art staff. Candidates must be driven to create jaw dropping special effects to entertain the gaming masses, and will be also responsible for the R&D of software, production pipelines, and post processes that are determined appropriate for a specific project as well as "advancing the state of the art."
- Expert-level skills in 3D graphics, particle systems, shaders (specular and normal maps), rigid body collision, soft body, cloth, hair, and fur simulations and relevant commercial software applications (Maya Preferred) to create special effects that further the game experience to simulate flashes, explosions, rain, moving water, fire, smoke, etc.
- 3 years or more production experience with special effects, post-production, and problem solving. Having shipped at least one game
- Excellent attention to detail, self-initiative and follow-through
- Photoshop skills required
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and work well under pressure
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Strong traditional art/animation skills
- Ability to quickly master proprietary tools and development processes

Senior HUD Artist (Flash)

Artist with Graphic design experience, to develop console HUD and Front-end designs for our titles.
- Expert-level skills in 2D graphics and layout design. With familiarity in FLASH, aftereffects, and other software used to prototype out front-end and HUD designs
- Familiarity with 3D software (MAYA preferred) to build and implement elements of the HUD / Front end
- 3 years or more production experience with HUD and Front end design for video games, or related FLASH design experience
- Excellent attention to detail, self-initiative and follow-through
- Photoshop skills required
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and work well under pressure

- At least 4 years of professional game programming, shipping 2+ titles, including at least one console title
- Very strong math and computer graphics background (lighting, animation, skinning, rendering, rasterization, etc.)
- Pixel/Vertex shader experience (HLSL, Cg)
- Experience in low level assembly language a plus
- Deep understanding of the latest graphics research
- Familiar with Maya
- Familiar with game asset pipelines
- Able to design, implement, and maintain additions to our cross platform engine
- Mastery of complex algorithms and computational techniques
- Willing to accept and provide direction, work well under pressure, and handle multiple tasks

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the overall project timeline, project staffing plans, and iteration on high level milestone docs with the publisher
- Provide an interface for communication between the publisher, the development team, and executive management
- Manage Production Assistants to facilitate communication and support the development team
- Set up the localization and Quality Assurance workflow
- Work with various Project Leads to create task lists and make sure the project is on schedule, maintaining the pipeline and tracking the delivery of assets by the team
- Enter tasks into MS Project, track tasks due for milestones, identify dependency problems, and create contingency plans when needed
- Oversee the delivery of builds to the publisher
- Take instruction and accept responsibilities delegated to him/her by executive management
- Assist executive management in company growth as it relates to scheduling/organization
- Participate in reviews for all projects assigned to them, to help ensure timely, high quality products
- Troubleshoot problems which effect the completion of their projects
- Assisting executive management in the evaluation of team members under him/her
- Inform the Director staff if a team member is not meeting quality, professionalism, or performance expectations
