Heatwave Interactive Internships Available!
Heatwave Intern Program
It is Heatwave Interactive's goal to train, mentor, and teach interns
what it is like to work inside and for a functioning game studio.
However, internships at Heatwave Interactive are at-will, meaning that
they can be terminated at any time, for any reason.
Interns are required to fully understand the Internship Guidelines
Document and the Intern Handbook once brought in, as they contain all
pertinent information about the program from a closer perspective.
As an intern, you will become familiar with the inner workings of a
video game studio, make game industry contacts, and become better
prepared to make the move to regular employment in the video game
industry.
The first part of the internship is an unpaid Training Period. During
this time interns are exposed to the daily functions of the company and
the position. At the end of the Training Period, the intern's manager
has a Performance Review with the intern and a hiring decision is made.
If accepted, the intern will be brought into Heatwave as a paid
Temporary Employee for a period of three months. The pay is $10/hr for
up to 40 hours a week. Interns can also take advantage of the company
gym (if approved by supervisor). There are no further benefits extended
to the intern.
