Chapter Meeting - Wednesday, March 14th at 6:30pm
Welcome back from GDC!
The next official IGDA Baltimore chapter meeting will be the one rescheduled from February, and it will be held as promised on Wednesday, March 14th at 6:30pm.
Bill Garrity, the director of the ratings board at the ESRB, will be presenting information on their ratings process and some best practices for developers when working with the ESRB. Should be an interesting presentation!
Due to projector requirements the meeting will be hosted at the Holiday Inn in Timonium. Attendees will be able to order light fare and drinks from the Inn's dining service.

UPDATE: We've been told we're at the Ridgely II conference room, but count on verifying this when you arrive.

On a personal note, I really wanted to attend Daniel Greenberg's roundtable at GDC on the subject of anti-game legislation, but I had a time conflict.
While the ESRB is not directly involved in this debate on either side (that I'm aware) -- it's Doug Lowenstein and the ESA who have been very active and quite effective at defending our rights as game developers -- it certainly would be interesting to discuss some of these issues at the meeting too. If anyone from our chapter attended the roundtable at GDC, I'd love to hear your thoughts on what was said. (Contact me at BreakAway, or through the forums.)
