Jim Charne, a long time supporter of the IGDA, has put together a panel of Game Industry Lawyers to talk candidly about what it means to be in that aspect of our community:

IGDA Elections

Dear Members,

3 minutes. 7 mouseclicks, 5 selections and you've done your duty for the IGDA! Voting.  We all cherish it.  Especially those of us who don't regularly have it.  Yet, still the numbers of people voting drop and are less and less.  So right now, click here: http://www.igda.org/2010election/BoDVote

Choose 5 (or more or less) of the people you think would do well in  leading the IGDA.  If you don't know much about them, click here:

You need to be logged in to the website to access the voting page.

vPanel Discussion on Video Game IP in China

Dear IGDA Members,

Since assuming the responsibilities of executive director, I have heard a number of questions about where the industry is headed with regards to China.  So, when I learned that there would be a panel discussion on this important subject, I wanted to make you aware of it.

There is a fee to attend this vPanel, and no IGDA member discount, but it does have some interesting speakers, and if this is an area you are-or are considering-working in, I encourage you to visit the below link to see if it makes sense for you.

Best Regards,

Joshua

Dear IGDA Members,

The IGDA Presents: Webinar series has really taken off.  I've received a number of responses form many of you about the various presentations we have already had, and am excited about the speakers coming up.  I wanted to bring all of the newly updated list of presenters to your attention, and keep you aware that we will be adding more to our lineup as things progress.

Thank you to our speakers, and our audiences, and I am very excited to see this program continue to grow.

IGDA-AIAS: Interactive Achievement Awards Voting Information

Since creating the Interactive Achievement Awards in 1997,
the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences has always
strived to best recognize the incredible talents of the men
and women creating games. Last year, the International
Game Developers Association and AIAS began working
together so that IGDA professional game makers can take
part in the industry’s peer-based honors. Our collective
goal was to allow the Interactive Achievement Awards to
represent the will of all game makers. With the 13th
