Welcome to the second issue of the IGDA Casual Games Quarterly. This publication grew out of the Online Games Quarterly, and is a product of the Casual Games Special Interest Group. Each quarter, we will bring you topical articles and interviews with the people who are defining this young and vibrant segment of the game industry. In this issue, our focus is on business issues.
There is some valuable information in the pages that follow; Macrovision's Jessica Tams gives us a preview of the forthcoming Casuality Europe conference next month in Amsterdam, IWin CEO CJ Wolf talks about the price-point testing that they have done with their recent releases, Popcap's James Gwertzman discusses the initiative to standardize sales reporting in the casual games market, and James Smith shares his collection of historical RealArcade data.
Do you have ideas for content for this publication? Would you like to get involved with the Casual Games SIG? Please don't hesitate to email us or join the mailing list using the link on the left of this page.
