Meeting Report
August Alchemy Assignation in Arlington
August 2002
by Ron Langtiw
August's meeting was out in Arlington Heights at Riviera, a small pizza and sandwhich shop. A little more than a dozen of us gathered to catch up, enjoy pizza and hear Chris Tanner, Chief Architect and one of the founders of Intrinsic Graphics, speak and give a
demonstration of theit latest and greatest creation, Alchemy 2.0.
Alchemy 2.0 is a middleware development tool designed to interact with the both graphics and code. It can be used for real-time rendering, as was demonstrated, and supports development on many major platforms (PlayStation. 2, Gamecube, Xbox, PC and others). For more information on Intrinsic and their tools, visit
www.intrinsic.com. Thanks, Chris.
We spent the rest of the night catching up with what's going on with each other and looking forward to the AMC WebSIG presentation by Harry Gottlieb, creator of Jellyvision. It wasn't until the folks at Riviera started putting up the chairs and mopping the floors did we realize it was time to go. And a fun time was had by all.
