Tobi Saulnier - TreasurerCEO, 1st Playable Productions |
As CEO and Founder of 1st Playable Productions, Tobi Saulnier oversees company operations and all aspects of product development at 1st Playable Productions. A veteran of both handheld and console games, she sees handheld game development as offering a unique blend of challenging hardware and fast pace, that complements the creative culture of a small independent studio. Prior to founding 1st Playable, she spent five years overseeing product development at Vicarious Visions, a role in which she was responsible for delivering over 60 game titles ranging from Blues Clues GBC to Doom III Xbox, including launch titles for the GBA, DS and PSP. Before joining the game industry, Tobi managed R&D in embedded and distributed systems at General Electric Research and Development, where she also led initiatives in new product development, software quality, business strategy, and outsourcing. Coray Seifert - SecretaryGame Designer, THQ Inc. | Kaos Studios

Coray Seifert is a game designer at THQ's Kaos Studios, creators of Frontlines: Fuel of War. The youngest ever member of the International Game Developers Association's Board of Directors, he has also served as the principle coordinator of the IGDA's New Jersey chapter since 2002. Coray has developed games as a writer, level designer, and producer for companies like Large Animal Games, Blade Edge Software, and the US Department of Defense. He has also appeared on Gamasutra.com, Forbes.com, The NY1 News Channel, in Game Developer Magazine, and at numerous game industry events as an editor, panelist, or host. An advocate for the aspiring game developer, Coray teaches game design at Bloomfield College and the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Gordon BellamyBusiness Development, Image Metrics

At Image Metrics, Gordon is responsible for developing strategic business partnerships with Video and PC game publishers and developers, casual games publishers and developers, providers of online communities,and technology partners. As an executive consultant for MTV, Bellamy provided creative guidance on the content, direction and strategic marketing partnerships for the annual Spike TV Video Game Awards show and the highly rated weekly program GameTrailers TV with Geoff Keighley also on Spike TV. Previously, he was Executive Director of the game industry's trade organization, the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences. Bellamy has also played key business and product development roles at Electronic Arts, where he was named the company's Rookie of the Year for his work on the best-selling Madden Football franchise, THQ, and Activision subsidiary, Z-AXIS. Gordon is a member of the Board of the Digital Coast Roundtable, the non-profit organization whose members are at the forefront of the convergence of entertainment and technology in Southern California and a judge for the Promax/BDA MI6 Awards, which celebrate the best in marketing, advertising and design within interactive and game entertainment. Brenda BrathwaiteIndependent Game Designer / Professor+Chair, Savannah College of Art and Design

A 26-year veteran of the video game industry, Brenda Brathwaite is a game designer, professor and Chair of game development and interactive design at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia. She has worked on 22 internationally known titles, including Def Jam: Icon, Playboy: The Mansion, Dungeons & Dragons: Heroes, the award-winning Wizardry series and the award-winning Jagged Alliance series of video games. According to a 2007 article in Next Generation magazine written by Ernest Adams, Brathwaite is the longest, continuously serving woman in video game development today. Tom Buscaglia, The Game Attorney, is a principal in the law firm Thomas H. Buscaglia, P.A. and is the President of Dev-Biz, Inc., with offices in the Seattle, Washington, area and Miami, Florida. www.GameAttorney.com Since 1991, Tom has assisted game developers in all aspects of business and legal matters. He has authored numerous articles, including the Game Law series of articles on Gamasutra.com. He is a perennial presenter at the Game Developers Conference, the Indie Games Con and numerous other industry conferences and events. Tom Chairs the IGDA charitable Foundation and heads the IGDA Employment Contract Quality of Life Certification task force. As FaTe[F8S] Tom is a founder and Supreme Warlord of FaTe's Minions, an online gaming "clan" that has been competing in various online competitions since January, 1998. Mark DeLouraVideogame Technical Consultant |
Mark is the creator and series editor of the Game Programming Gems family of books. He is currently involved with games technology consulting, from studio, concept and pipeline analysis to low-level performance optimization. He has a passion for making game development more streamlined, efficient, and accessible. Most recently, Mark was VP Technology for GreenScreen Interactive, a new games publisher focusing on original titles. Mark has also served in a variety of technology-related roles at Nintendo, Sony, and Ubisoft, and as editor-in-chief of Game Developer magazine. Jamil MoledinaOutreach Director, EA Partners, Electronic Arts

Jamil works in service of the game industry. At Electronic Arts, he is the Outreach Director, Business Development for EA Partners, connecting the best independent visionary game creators with the industry-leading production and commercial power of EA. Previously, he was for several years the Executive Director of the Game Developers Conference, the world's largest professionals-only event in the game industry, where he managed the financial and creative direction of this multi-million dollar learning/inspiring/networking show. Prior to that, he was Editor-in-Chief of Game Developer magazine, the leading B2B publication in the game space. Jamil is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the charity organization One Big Game and the International Game Developers Association, as well as various game industry event advisory boards. Tim TrainStudio General Manager, Big Huge Games / THQ

As General Manager, Tim Train heads up the internal development of Big Huge Games, now a THQ studio. Tim's career in computer games began at Microprose in 1991, as a team member on the original Sid Meier's Civilization. During his career he has worked in virtually every genre of computer games in various capacities. After following Sid and Brian Reynolds to Firaxis from 1996 - 2000, Tim joined Brian, David Inscore, and Jason Coleman as founding partners in Big Huge Games. Tim served as Executive Producer on BHG's first hit, 2003's Rise of Nations, and also designed the "Conquer the World" single-player campaign game. Brian Robbins- Founder & President,Riptide Games

Brian Robbins is Founder and President of Riptide Games, an indie game developer and consultancy based in Denver, CO. Since the start of his career in gaming Brian has consistently been pushing the limits at the forefront of emerging markets. He was building web-based games before the dot-com crash, has been involved in the casual games space since it's inception. Prior to establishing Riptide Games, Brian was Studio Head for Fuel Games Denver, a studio focused on iPhone and next-gen mobile game development that was closed in September 2009.
Brian has been a regular contributor to the games industry throughout his career. In 2009 he was appointed to the Board of Directors for the IGDA. He is also the chapter coordinator for the Colorado Game Developers. Previous he has chaired and co-founded IGDA SIGs, written and edited numerous white papers and was recognized as an IGDA MVP in 2006 award for his contributions. Brian began his career as a programmer, and has code in over 100 games. He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences speaking on technical, design and business issues. He has a BS in Computer Science and an MBA from the University of Denver. He lives in Denver with his wife and their 3 year old daughter, and is particularly proud of his daughter's proficiency in Plants vs Zombies where she likes the "purple eating ones." Rodney Gibbs- President, Ricochet Labs |
An Entrepreneur committed to expanding professional opportunities for the game development community, Rodney has co-founded two studios. His first, Fizz Factor, shipped 17 PC, DS and PSP titles over eight years under Rodney's leadership. In 2009 he launched Ricochet Labs, which will release its first title in 2010. Before entering the game industry, Rodney was a screenwriter on a variety of TV programs for Fox, Showtime, and other networks. He is chair of the Digital Media Council; board member of the Austin Film Society and KUT, Austin's NPR affiliate; and an advisor to young companies in the Austin Technology Incubator. He earned his bachelor's degree from Rich University and his master's from the University of Texas at Austin, where he was a James Michener Fellow. | Erin Hoffman- Lead Designer, HumaNature | Erin Hoffman is a lead desinger at HumaNature Studios, a small design think tank founded by industry veteran Greg Johnson. After getting her start in 1999 as an assistant game designer at DragonRealms, she worked on an assortment of games for PC, XBox, Playstation 2, Ninentdo DS, and GBA. She is also a freelance contributor to The Escapist, Gamasutra, and other video game and speculative fiction magazines, in addition to co-editing _Settlers of the New Virtual Worlds_, an essay collection exploring user rights in the future of massively multiplayer online games. In 2004 she authored an essay on working conditions at Electronic Arts under the pseudonym "ea_spouse", and has since been involved in grassroots developer-driven efforts to reform quality of life practices across the industry. Jennifer MacLean - Chair EmeritusSenior Vice President of Business Development, 38 Studios

Jen is currently the senior vice president of business development for 38 Studios. Previously Jen was at Comcast, where she served as Vice President and General Manager, Games, responsible for management of all games products, strategy, and business development for the United States' largest cable company. Her extensive and varied experience in online content and interactive entertainment began in 1992 at Microprose Software. She joined AOL in 1996, where she held numerous positions in the AOL brand programming division, including Programming Director for the Games Channel. Jen earned a BA in international relations from Johns Hopkins University and an MBA with a concentration in international business from the Columbia Business School. Jen was named one of the "Game Industry's 100 Most Influential Women" by Next Generation, and is a frequent and much-requested speaker at game industry events.
