E3 2001 Recap

E3 2001 Recap

The IGDA crew and most of the board were down in LA for the big E3 show. Fun was had by all. No big IGDA specific news or happenings to report on, per se. Of note, was the conference workshop moderated by Jason Della Rocca, the IGDA's executive director.

The Los Angeles Convention Center the day before the start of the show.

The XBOX booth was always busy...

Blizzard's WarCraft III showing was pretty impressive!

EA was showing off their Harry Potter content.

Robin Hunicke (North Western U.), Mathilde Remy (Joystick), Mike Gamble (MathEngine), Mike Burrows (Microsoft) and James North-Hern (Infogrames) all having fun at a party in honor of Gamble's departure from Microsoft.

Mary-Margaret at the same party, showing off her original CGDA charter member card (#15)!

I like fast cars. The 2001 Saleen S7.

We all knew it was coming...
