Casual Connect Seattle brings together the most talented and knowledgeable experts in the casual gaming field to further the casual games industry with the best of networking and learning. The IGDA's Casual Games SIG will be present to host several sessions/initiatives.

 

Develop Conference & Expo

GO3 Electronic & Entertainment Expo

This year GO3 comprises of three distinct elements: 3-day consumer expo along with a separate B2B Expo area and the CGC (Commercial games Conference) this year themed “Multiplayer & Communities”. Sandbox: An ACM Video Game Symposium

Virtual Worlds Forum Europe

IndieCade @ Open Satellite will be the first major exhibiton of international, independent videogames and videogame art in the Seattle area and the FIRST stand-alone independent videogame festival in the nation. It will be a landmark event.

Video Games Live, Gamer Grannies on Carnival Cruise Line

14-17 November, Long Beach, CA to Ensenada, Mexico

Video Games Live will be the opening performance on board the 2008 NAViGaTR Cruise, on sale through June and sailing in November.  Other cruise activities include game competitions and special gaming and celebrity guests including outrageous Academy Award-winning actress-comedienne Cloris Leachman.  10% of cruise proceeds will be split between the IGDA Foundation and G.A.N.G.  Developers are invited to present their work on the cruise for on-demand webcasting/webstreaming going into awards season.

 

Montreal International Game Summit

17-18 November, Montreal, Quebec, Canada

MIGS presents specialized conferences hosted by world-renowned experts in programming, visual arts, game design, audio design, serious game, production and business. The Summit is a specialized event offering an environment conducive to learning, networking and discussion. More than 1300 members of the game industry are expected for this fifth edition. IGDA members receive a $40 discount on registration.
