Members-Only Party at E3 - 2005

RSVP List

The IGDA hosted our second annual "members only" party at E3. With so much of E3 focused on the media and retailers, we wanted to give actual game developers a chance to connect, chill out and have some fun.

The party was held on Tuesday, May 17th 2005 at the Figueroa Hotel poolside terrace in Los Angeles. Food and drinks were served, and ambient beats where provided by EA LA audio guru Mario "FR33SONICK" Lavin.

There were 840 members RSVP'd (check out who they were).

Board chair Jesse Schell (in brown blazer) chats up various IGDA members...

Claude Reeves and Sebastien Lavier from Ubisoft Montreal hanging with Dan Irish.

Marc Saltzman, Nathaniel Loh (Toys for Bob), Sean Kaupinnen (Kohnke), Jason Buhrmester and IGDA press queen Sibel Sunar (Bohle) having a good time :)

Like rare creatures, the game developers gather in the urban jungle of LA...

Rudy Geronimo (IGDA), Warren Currell (Sherpa Games) and Richard Lemarchand (Naughty Dog) risking a big shove into the pool.

As a "designated boozer", Tobi Saulnier (1st Playable) makes Zach Schlappi (EA LA) work for an extra free drink ticket.

Music men Jesper Kyd, Bob Rice, Cris Velasco, Chris Rickwood hanging out.

Noah Falstein (The Inspiracy) laughing with/at Brian Sullivan (Iron Lore).

Richard Lemarchand (Naughty Dog) chats up IGDA staffers Jason Della Rocca and Rudy Geronimo.

It would not have been a real party if at least one developer hadn't jumped into the pool - sadly, it was to fetch his cell phone...
