IGDA North East UK Chapter Meeting - March 25th Centre For Life in Newcastle

IGDA Event on 25th March at the Centre for Life in Newcastle.
With speakers from Double 11 (Formerly of Rockstar Leeds), Mere Mortals and Atomhawk.

Location: The Centre for Life Conference and Banqueting in Newcastle.
Time: 7pm – 11pm (Talks between 7:30 and 8:30pm)

We welcome you to attend the next IGDA Chapter meeting. A free event aimed at anyone in the games industry.

Drinks will be available at the subsidized rate of £1.

The speakers at the event include:

Lee Hutchinson – Double 11 Ltd
Lee (formerly of Rockstar Leeds, having worked on titles such as Grand Theft Auto and Beatonator) has just started up his own iPhone development studio. He will be talking specifically about iPhone, referencing the process of porting games from one to another.

Mick Stockton - Mere Mortals
Mick will talk about the way games are changing and the differences between hardcore and casual games. He will also talk about selling a game based on design and working with trophies, achievements and player social interaction.

Steven Pick – Atomhawk
Steven will be talking about GUI design within games and how it could be improved.

There will be time both before and after the talks to allow people to network, grab a drink and have a chat.
