Calling all Experienced 3d Level Game Designers! Gameloft, an international publisher and developer of video games for mobile phones and console, is seeking gifted Senior 3D Level Game Designers to join their existing talent pool on creating games for iPhone and mobile phones. Qualified candidates will link up with imaginative design teams to create hot new game titles, fulfilling a wide range of genres from hardcore action to casual simulation. Previous hit iPhone games include Oregon Trail, Hero of Sparta I & II, NOVA, Avatar, Dungeon Hunter, NFL 2010, Real Soccer 2010, New York Nights, Assassin’s Creed, Terminator Salvation, Asphalt 5, Let’s Golf, Gangstar, just a few of the 300 games that Gameloft has created since its inception. As a key member of the development team, you’ll take charge of the initial concept and game design directly through final delivery.

The Nitty-Gritty:

• Design game, level layouts and gameplay content for First Person Shooter
• Complete benchmarking & competition research
• Communicate with a team of artists and programmers to ensure creative vision is fulfilled
• Collaborate with design team to produce innovative ideas for new concepts, existing design issues and work to meet deadlines
• Effectively receive and provide constructive criticism

Must-haves/ know-how:

• Successful developed and shipped AAA titles as a level designer
• Expert knowledge of the Unreal Editor, Hammer and other 3d toolsets
• Strong understanding and experience on 3d level Game Design: concept, layout, prototype modelling, environmental design, mission creation, strategy, game balancing, event scripting etc
• Profound understanding on FPS level design principle and techniques
• Ability to create a feasible game model based on a variety of tools and methods
• Skilled at documenting ideas, concepts and technical designs in a format that is easy for all team members to understand
• Thorough understanding of video games and their commercial appeal to the general public
• Think creatively, work well independently and as a team player
• Ability to successfully convey your vision and motivate team members

You’ll earn brownie points if you have:

• 3-5 years of level game design experiences on creating games for console and mobile phones.
• FPS game expert, you love to create, watch and play any type of FPS game
• Experience with design software (MS Word, Excel, Visio, Adobe Photoshop, 3d S Max etc), placement tools and database
• Familiarity with C++ and JAVA
• Strong knowledge of wireless devices, encyclopedic knowledge on iPhone will be a huge plus!
• A love for video games, inside & out
