Greetings from the Cleveland Institute of Art!

We developed a game we'll be releasing in the near future, ChromaWaves (http://chromawaves.com/), an ambient color-mixing game for the iPhone/iPod Touch where all profits from the AppStore will be donated to Child's Play. We've been doing a podcast mini-series about developing the project from multiple perspectives, and today we've published the second of that series "Education", which is from the perspective of our game design teachers.

This episode features the two professors (Knut Hybinette/Marc Buchner) from our Game Production course, a joint-class between CWRU and CIA, which we developed the game in. I think that anybody interested in getting an education in game design, whether you're an artist or programmer, might find their discussions and stories informative and insightful. You can find that episode here: http://thescaperoute.wordpress.com/2010/03/12/the-modcast-episode-5-chromawaves-education/

The previous episode went from front to back on how developing an entire game in one semester tends to go, so while we're all obviously still learning the ropes of development, it may be useful to those looking for information on the step-by-step chronological process that we took: http://thescaperoute.wordpress.com/2010/02/26/the-modcast-episode-5-chromawaves-choices/

Let me know what you guys think, if these shows are helpful, and if you have any questions about the course/program or our game, I'd be willing the field any.

Thanks for reading/listening!
