Seeking feedback on work, for job hunting purpose.
Hello everyone,
let me introduce myself. My name is Benoit Lelièvre. Everybody calls me Ben though. I'm 27 years old and I'm freshly out of the Université de Montréal with a master degree in literature. Like everyoneof you, I'm passionate about video games and I want to make a living out of it. What can I do to contribute?
Well, I'm a writer. I write all the time, at home, at work, on paper, on the computer, in my mind. I'm familiarwith game mechanics and game design as I was game master in a lot of Table Top RPG games, but my main craft iswriting.
As you guys also all know, a job in the industry is extremely hard to land. I already have a Ubisoft recruiter working for me on the inside, but the process is going slow and I am eager to get better at what I do meanwhile and maybe land something somewhere else. Nothing against Ubisoft, they're like the New York Yankees, but
I want to work!
This post has for a purpose to ask you guys for feedback on the fiction I write. Positive, negative, heavenly or homicidal, I take everything in order to get better. Here's the link to my blog (who is now also on the Montreal blog roll, thanks to Jason)
Here are the links to the main episodic fictions I write:
Here's a link to one of the few editorials I wrote...this one had the privilege to be in the first page of the
'controversial' section of reddit.com. LOL!
Thank you in advance for the time you will take reading and answering,
Hope to see you all at the next IGDA meeting,
Ben
