IGDA Annual Meeting
When: Thursday, March 8th from 1-2pm
Where: Room 2009, West Hall, 2nd Floor
Description: The International Game Developers Association's Board of Directors and executive management give developers a rundown of the association's progress over the past year, as well as an indication of what's in store for 2012. There will also be a Q&A period to get feedback and input from the community and new board members. The IGDA is a non-profit professional association that is committed to advancing the careers of game developers worldwide. NOTE: Lunch will not be provided. Attendees should bring something for themselves.
IGDA VIP Luncheon
When: Wednesday, March 7th
Where: Top-Secret location!
Description: This is an RSVP-by-invite only event. The IGDA is proud to celebrate some of the finest VIP's from around the globe. If you received an invite to this event, make sure to RSVP as this is one event you don't want to miss! Note: If you feel there has been a mistake and you should have received an invite, please contact dustin@igda.org and he can look into the situation for you.
IGDA Party!
When: Tuesday, March 6th from 6-10pm

Description: It's GDC Party Time! with the International Game Developer's Association! Sponsored by Game Dojos Accelerator and organized by the Silicon Valley IGDA. Save the date! Meet Game Industry developers, professionals and friends from around the world. Eat, drink, have fun and commemorate another year in game. If you would like your name in lights and a table joining us as a sponsor for the IGDA GDC 2012 party, contact Ann, one of the organizers here at ann@svigda.org. This venue accepts 21+ only. Everyone must register here, including guests. Non-IGDA are more than welcome to come, but we encourage non-members to join the International Game Developer's Association.
IGDA Scholars
The IGDA is once again providing scholarships to a special group of scholars to attend GDC. This year, IGDA Executive Director Gordon Bellamy and super-volunteer Ashley Zeldin helped organize the schedule for GDC, arranged studio visits and a created a few other special surprises. What's Happening at the IGDA Booth?
The IGDA booth will be open from 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The IGDA booth will be located in the lobby of the West Hall, on the 2nd Floor Alcove by the stairs.
We will have all sorts of great things happening at our booth all thoughout the day. Below is just a very short list of what to expect:

The Metagame Tournament
The IGDA is once again proud to sponsor and host Metagame at our booth at GDC 2012. This unique game captured the hearts of attendees last year and it's back and better than ever!
The Metagame is a massively multiplayer card game about videogames. Pick up your GDC 2012 Edition starter deck at the IGDA booth in the 2nd Floor Lobby of West Hall.
TOURNAMENT
The Championship Tournament is Friday afternoon at the IGDA booth. Collect as many cards as you can with a star to enter.

Want to meet a few of the IGDA's board members? Of course you do! Below is a schedule of when you can meet the various members of our Board of Directors.

Brian Robbins (Chair)
The IGDA's Board of Directors Chair will be stopping by the booth from 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday and then again from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
Jane Pinckard (Vice-Chair)
Come and meet the wonderful Jane Pinckard at our booth! She will be available Monday from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. and then again on Thursday from 10-11am.
Dustin Clingman (Treasurer)
While Dustin may be the Board's Treasurer, he is far more than that! Not only does he have a wealth of experience behind him, but he was one of the driving forces behind the IGDA's activities at this year's GDC. He will be around the booth for most of the week so don't miss out on the chance to meet him!
Scott Berfield
While you may run into Scott wandering the GDC floor speaking with fellow game developers, he will also be at our booth from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. on Monday and from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. This man has a wealth of experience behind him, so make sure you don't miss him at GDC!
Tobi Saulnier
Tobi can be found at the IGDA Booth from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. and again from 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Coray Seifert
Coray will be at the IGDA Booth on Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
2012 Board of Directors Election Candidates at GDC
The four candidates running for spots on the IGDA Board of Directors will be stopping by the IGDA Booth throughout the week. We strongly suggest that all IGDA members come and meet those who are running for the Board of Directors. It's a great opportunity to meet these four wonderful people, so don't miss out!
Ed Fries: Ed will be at the IGDA Booth from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 8th.
Kate Edwards: Kate will be at the IGDA Booth from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday March 7th.
James Kosta: James will be at the IGDA Booth from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Monday March 5th.
