NEXT MEETING: Shader Extravaganza

Prepare yourself for the May Meeting Shader Extravaganza! Bert Haselden and Nathan Hanish, will be presenting a visual cornucopia of real-time shader effects and techniques. Prepare to be shocked and awed by the power, the expressivity, and the sheer coolness of what is now possible to render in real-time on cheap hardware with open source tools and published techniques. The presentation will cover some of the basic concepts of art pipelines and programming for shaders and then launch full steam into a survey of techniques offered up by the best minds in the industry and published by ATI, nVidia, 3d Labs, and Microsoft. If you have a particular shader effect or technique that you would like to show, there will be an opportunity at the end of the formal presentation.
