IGDA: Formation of IGDA Tech Group
Dear IGDA Members,
With the continued intentions of managing the technology in the website, webinars, lists, forums, and other applications, the IGDA Board of Directors has decided to implement a Technology Advisory Group. Made up of 5 volunteers and Chaired by the IGDA Vice Chair, Mark Deloura, this group is asked to support the technology initiatives the IGDA is moving forward with.
Specifically at this time the IGDA is looking for volunteers with experience working in drupal, website hosting, server applications, and other technology experience that can support the efforts to move the current IGDA website into a better, more stable and faster application.
"The Technology Advisory Group provides technical expertise, evaluation, planning, and hands on problem solving to technology issues facing IGDA, including web portal, enterprise systems, and other technical infrastructure. The current focus is web portal technology, including Drupal and others. Members of the group need to have a technical deep understanding of systems and the ability to evaluate and communicate highly technical options including server specifications, module integration, version choices, and system integration."
We are looking for people who can understand code, hardware and other hands on experiences in making changes rapidly to the current website and the future initiatives.
If you are interested, please send your name, a brief summary of relevant experience, and a general idea of your time availability (limited/moderate/lots of free time) to (Joseph Sapp), Joda@igda.org, or (Joshua Caulfield) joshua@igda.org.
Even if you are not selected for the first 5 seats, we will retain your indication of interest as seats open up or new projects require additional help. Thank you very much for your participation in this program.
