Los Angeles Game Developer Gathering Meeting Summary
We had our fifth meeting since we started gathering regularly at Finn McCool's in Santa Monica. Another good turnout with 12 people showing up. We've collectively decided to change the meetings to once a month until the momentum builds up. All meetings are designated as social/booze & schmooze and will be held on the first Wednesday of the month. I will send out new fliers to those on the distribution list this weekend.

And I must apologize to the two people I have forgotten the names of and don't seem to have the business card of.
Overall it was a good meeting where we discussed such random topics as:
○ Lack of quality people in the games industry who are capable of teaching the next generation of game developers. Maybe a panel idea for a future IGDA meeting?
○ Where do you put the hyphen in words? Is game play one word or two? What about videogame?
○ Budgetary constraints of casual games and the move towards more professionalism.
○ Can casual games also be twitch games? What makes a game hardcore and what makes it casual?
○ Why Tom uses French words nobody can remember the meaning to.
