Christmas quiz
What does 'IDDQD' do for you?
How well do you think you know your games? Could you name the hospital in Silent Hill? Do you know how many dots are on a Pac-Man board? Or could you name the famous producer of Boktai? These were just a small sample of the 50 questions posed to a large audience of gameaholics at O'Neills, Kings Cross under the guise of the Xmas IGDA quiz. There were five rounds each with ten questions, and each round finished with a bonus 'Woo Hoo' question. Our quiz master for the evening, the charismatic Ceri Lewellyn, kept the crowds on their feet with his witty repartee and Ceri's assistant Janey, had the extremely tricky and difficult job of pressing 'Page Down' on the laptop so Ceri and the crowd could read the next question. The other committee members, Jim, Mickey, and Dean, honed their mathematical skills to add up team scores and decide the winners and unfortunately, the losers. Individual prizes were available for each member of the lucky winning quiz team with GBA, X-Box, and PS2 games going up for grabs. See the photos for the winners' cheesy grins, and excitable grasping of prizes. The 'piece-de-resistance' prize was a graphics card kindly donated by Autodesk that was up for grabs in the raffle at the end of the night.
