Big Bad Robots is an independent entertainment software development company committed to creating top quality, world-class games for PC and consoles.

We are currently developing an exciting 3D Multiplayer Online Game for the PC and consoles. We are looking for passionate creative individuals who want an opportunity to create a new original Intellectual Property. We have an extremely competent core team with multiple AAA titles under their belts.

Danien Chee, a game development veteran who has worked with award-winning studios such as Pandemic Studios and Black Isle Studios and developed several titles for PC, Microsoft Xbox®, and Sony Playstation® 2, including the acclaimed Icewind Dale series, Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II, and Mercenaries.

Jason Spykerman worked at Bioware on some of their most successful titles including Baldur’s Gate Throne of Bhaal, Neverwinter Nights, Star Wars : Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empires and Mass Effect.

Terence Tan founded 2 development studios and developed South East Asia first Massively Multiplayer Online Game ”Fung Wan Online”. He worked as a Producer on AAA titles for Sony and Atari.

Location: Singapore, Malaysia (State preference)
Type : Full-time, Contract, with permanent position upon successful evaluation

Responsibilities • Design and develop engine architecture • Design and develop engine components (rendering, physics, AI, etc) • Design and develop content creation and pipeline tools • Implement gameplay components

Requirements • Proven abilities in 3D engine design and development • Proven abilities in designing, developing, and debugging game engine level code • Experience in integrating and using 3rd party middleware • Deep understanding of computer and software engineering techniques and the ability to apply them successfully in game development • Ability to analyze and optimize code performance • Proficiency in C++, preferably in Microsoft Visual Studio/C++ environment • Excellent coding and debugging skills • Strong math and problem solving skills • Ability to work within team coding standards and practices • Ability to communicate and work well in a team with artists, designers, and management • At least 1 year professional experience in game programming or a related field • Ability to take direction, initiative to take ownership of problems, conduct independent research, and formulate solutions • Passion for game development and learning

Desirables • Experience in cross-platform development, including PC, Windows, console, handheld, or Linux • Deep understanding and experience in at least one of the following: 3D graphics and shader programming, AI, animation, audio, database, networking, physics, scripting • Experience in multithreaded development • Proficiency in C# or other languages, including scripting
