IGDA Meet and Talk July 2008 [July 21st, 2008 – 8:41 am]

The meeting started around 8pm. Attending were people from Gamebrains, John Galt Games, Internexia, Codemasters,  students from MMU's game course, ex-students from LimKokWing's game course and several others.

One of the interesting points from his talk was the LGPL license, where code does not have to be distributed if the open-source code is dynamically linked, and how exceptions exist for commercial purposes.

After talking about the nature of open-source applications, Lih Hern went to talk about games done with open source code, along with some demos.

The talk ended around 9++pm, and after a brief networking session, everyone took off for supper.
