Chapter Meeting: September 2003
We will have another FREE meeting on September 17th at 7 PM. We will host it here at the CEC Studios , 200 S.E. 2nd Avenue in downtown Fort Lauderdale . The presentation will be given by Leading Technologies, Incorporated who will discuss, Speeding up Product Design : Rapid Prototyping using 3D Computer Graphics. www.l-ti.net
The presentation will be followed up by the increasingly popular raffle session where Leading Technologies is donating two grand prizes worth $375 each in goods and services.
If you have gone to all the trouble to create a sophisticated computer model then why not have a plastic prototype to impress your friends or hold down paperwork. Now is your chance!
Another prize is to scan in a real life model ( or object I should say), make a computer model from that data AND get a plastic prototype. A nice way to give your pet rock some company.
Of course, there will be consolation t-shirts and other items raffled off as well.
Seriously, it is pretty amazing technology with very practical applications in Industrial Design, architecture, and engineering. I think game developers and anyone in visualization or simulation would be interested in the process, too.
And of course, networking and drinks to follow at Ole Ole!
