Chapter Meeting: October 2004
I am very proud to announce that our resident animator ALEX FRIDERICI finally agreed to come to present at the CEC and we will hold the meeting next Tuesday October 19th at 7 PM at the CEC Studios, 220 S.E. 2nd Ave , 9th Floor of the FAU Askew Tower .
We are asking for a $5 donation at the door, since we do not have any budget from the SIGGRAPH organization, we usually ask for this small donation to support our speakers.
Alex works independently for CafeFX ( www.cafefx.com ), MTV Latino and Nickolodeon and his credits include Spy Kids 3D, the Terminal and Sky Captain.He will present some of the techniques he used on Sky Captain.
If you have a chance go see the movie beforehand so you are familiar with the scenes.
Alex has won the Promax Platinum award, his piece Perestroika was shown at SIGRRAPH 2001, he is an AIFL alumni and resides in Hollywood . Surf to http://www.eyelandarts.com/ for some more background info.
After the presentation we will have a Q&A session and raffle off some more goodies! (Some great SIGGRAPH and gaming stuff)
