Apologies
for the month long delay in updating the reports section. Work
and Summer holiday commitments overtook the updating, but finally
its here.
Andrew Oliver
gave and introductory speech to say hello and let everyone
know he has taken over the roll of Chapter Leader from Fred
Gill. Swiftly followed by a wonderfully talk rom Mark James
of Sony about Sony's commitments to Europe and a sneak peek
of the PSP and what was to come with PS NEXT. Although it was
a somewhat fact filled presentation, it gave a great insight
to what Sony has done in the past and what it was going to
do in the future. Wonderful stuff!, and a great big thanks
to Mark James and Sony.
After the presentation by Mark it was time to hit the Nvidia
sponsored bar and shmooze. We placed a 50p levy on all the
drinks at the bar which raised an extra £102, this enabled
us to pay for the venue which i think everyone didn't mind.
There was certainly lots of catching
up to do with many new faces and lots of old ones attending
although it soon became unbearably hot in the function room
so many people went for a cool down in the gardens outside.
We will try and arrange for a larger function room next time.
At
about 10.30 the raffle was drawn by Mark James , tickets
were sold at the door and throughout the evening raising a whopping
£41. Prizes were kindly donated by Criterion and Mark brought
a few goodies from Sony to add to the prize fund.
All in all it was a great evening which eventually closed
at around 11.30 a few members stayed on after catching up
and finishing off the remnants of the buffet that was kindly
provided by Blitz Games.
