The
audience received a wonderful insight into the power and capabilities
of the new Sony PSP.
He showed some cool demos and went through the broader plans
that Sony has to make this the leading Mobile gaming console.
As this was to an audience of game developers, he went into
the technicalities of the system and showed how people may
get the most from it.
There was an audience
of around 60 from a number of local software companies including:
Codemasters, Blitz Games Ltd, Freestyle, BigBig, Supersonic,
Aqua Pacific, Awesome, Rebellion and Exient.
The evening went
very smoothly with everybody enjoying themselves up to midnight.
We even had a little Live Samba music later on, provided by
a Local group, of which one was an IGDA member!
We held a raffle
that raised funds towards the next event; this is a non-profit
event. The prizes were:
PS2 games, PS2
shirts and Hats - kindly donated by Sony.
A bottle of Champagne,
and an XBOX 360 limited edition faceplate – kindly donated
by Blitz Games Ltd.
