"BioShock 2 and the Creative Process"
Creative Director Jordan Thomas will provide insight into the creative process behind the development of BioShock 2, the follow-up to one of this decade's most memorable games. Jordan will explore how the team stayed true to the epic ethos of the original while still introducing new and innovative elements, along with other challenges in the design and production process.

Jordan Thomas - Creative Director, 2K Marin Jordan Thomas broke into the industry at 18 as a writer for Psygnosis. Eventually he landed his first long-term design job at Ion Storm Austin, where he designed a level for Thief: Deadly Shadows called the 'Shalebridge Cradle' and was ultimately promoted to Lead Designer. Following that, he moved on to Irrational Games as a contract designer and consultant on the original BioShock, focusing primarily on an area called 'Fort Frolic.' In 2008, he signed on with 2k Games as the Creative Director of BioShock 2, one of a handful of Irrational veterans selected to found the new 2k Marin studio. His current project has not yet been announced. |
