"Boogie: IP creation from concept to implementation at EA Montreal"

This presentation will focus on how Boogie (upcoming Wii title) was born and evolved to become a full-grown Wii product. Vander and Alfredo will discuss the conception of the idea through prototyping and efficient implementation during production.

Vander Caballero, Design Director Vander Caballero has been a Design Director at EA Montreal since its opening in 2004. While his main focus has been to introduce innovation by changing the game design process, he has also worked in collaboration with Alain Tascan and Reid Schneider, in the development of EA's Army of Two. Before joining the Montreal Studio, Vander worked as an Art Director for the FIFA franchise at EA Vancouver. |

Alfredo Chaves, Producer Alfredo Chaves has been working in the industry for almost a decade as Art Director, Director of Operations and Producer. His main role at EA Montreal has been to work on new IP on the Nintendo Wii console, concentrating his efforts on innovative gameplay. Having a traditional training in Architecture, his vision has allowed him to work in the gaming industry as well as in Film and TV. He has delivered work for companies like 3DO, 2K Games, EIDOS and LucasArts. |
