Damn those brainy aliens!

by Jason Della Rocca (May 2001)

Although the weather in Montreal is getter warmer, there was still a good turn out with about 65 developers coming to hang out.

The night got underway with an E3 recap from Jean Francois Williams - as with most attendees, he was quite impressed by Nintendo's showing, and the overall quality of games at the show. Next up was Garner Bornstein of Airborne Entertainment. Garner discussed the opportunities in the wireless/mobile market and challenged developers to put themselves in the shoes of the wireless/mobile gamer... Finally, David Beaudoin of Novisoft talked about his awesome experience of attending his first E3. David was part of the Alliance NumeriQC's "mission" to E3 for young entrepreneurs.

Big thanks to all our sponsor for the May gathering:

...and to our out-of-town guest, Thomas Jakob of NxN, who brought slick NxN alienbrain t-shirts for nearly everyone in attendance!
