IGDA Chapter Meet In Newcastle (Click here to register your attendance!) - 16th April (2009) from 6:30PM

The next chapter meeting will be held on the 16th of April in Newcastle at the Centre for Life (click here for a map).The event will commence at 6:30pm although talks will not begin until 7:30, and it will continue until late. The event is free and you do not need to be an IGDA member to come along, so feel free to invite colleagues etc!

Well we've managed to pull off our first chapter meeting; "Focus on Game Art" last night. And it was a success! Although the turnout wasn't great everyone had a good time and seemed to learn a lot. Attendees included developers from Rockstar Leeds, Sumo Digital, 3rd Dimension Creations, Chemistry, Teesside University and Sheffield Hallam University. Read the full report here!

First Chapter Meeting - Focus On Game Art - 13th June from 6PM

We will be holding out first chapter meeting on the 13th of June, doors open at 6pm, the talks will begin around 7:30 and the event will continue until late! The event will be at the showroom and workstation cinema in Sheffield click here for a map.

The evening will open with 2 presentations:

A ZBrush Masterclass from Philip Unger at Rockstar Leeds.
A Modo lecture given by James O'Hare from 3rd Dimention Creations in Middlesbrough (Still to be confirmed).

The presentations will then be followed up with a networking event supported by light drinks.
