The International Game Developers Association Elects New Board Members and Officers
SAN FRANCISCO, CA - May 8, 2003 - The International Game Developers Association (IGDA) today announced the new members of the Board of Directors. John Feil, Level Designer, Lucas Arts; Jesse Schell, Professor of Entertainment Technology, Carnegie Mellon University; and Mitzi McGilvray, Executive Producer, Tapwave, were elected to the open board seats. The new board term began on May 1, 2003. New officers chosen by the board include Chairperson: Kathy Schoback, Director of Product Operations, Eidos Interactive; Secretary: Jesse Schell, and Treasurer: Mitzi McGilvray.
"I am very honored to be appointed as the IGDA Chairperson," stated Schoback. "The IGDA is an invaluable resource for game developers. I am looking forward to working with the Board, committees and membership on new and ongoing initiatives that strengthen the community and our industry."
"The IGDA members have elected a very strong and dedicated team of board members,” added Jason Della Rocca, Program Director. “Our new board will drive more initiatives and create opportunities for the advancement of games.”
