COMPUTER GAME DEVELOPERS ASSOCIATION TO MERGE WITH THE INTERNATIONAL GAME DEVELOPERS NETWORK

San Francisco, CA - May 10, 2000 - The Computer Game Developers Association (CGDA) today announced that the CGDA, the trade association for the worldwide game development community, will acquire the International Game Developers Network (IGDN). The Board of Directors of both associations approved the merger, which is expected to be completed later this month. The decision was made based on the similarities in the agendas and charters of both non-profit organizations.

Both entities serve professional developers who make all types of electronic entertainment. The consolidation of the two organizations will improve service offerings and better support the computer and console game development communities. The Association provides benefits and other services to its members, including committees, local chapters and special interest groups to foster information exchange and communication among professionals, and discounts on events, training, and tools.

"This merger gives us a combined organization which is better able to meet the needs of the professional game development community better than either the CGDA or IGDN could alone," said Dave Weinstein, President of the IGDN.
