International Game Developers Association Awards 25 Game Developers Conference Europe Student Scholarships
SAN FRANCISCO, CA - August 6, 2003 - The International Game Developers Association (IGDA) has announced the recipients of the 2nd annual Game Developers Conference Europe Student Scholarship Program. Twenty-five college students will receive conference passes to this year's Game Developers Conference Europe (GDCE), August 26-29, 2003, London, UK.
"We can never underestimate the importance of fresh ideas in the games industry," states Dr. Dave Ranyard, Audio Manager, Sony Computer Entertainment of Europe, London Development Centre. "The GDCE gives students access to some of the world's greatest developers. Supporting the IGDA's student outreach programmes, such as this, is invaluable to the industry and helps keep us all energized."
The recipients represent a diverse range of disciplines and cultures, and include students from Asia, Europe, North America and South America. The recipients of the 2003 GDCE Student Scholarships are:

The scholarship recipients will have access to seminars, panels and special events at GDCE, Europe's premier conference exclusively devoted to video game development and related activities.
Each year, top representatives of the gaming industry and members of the IGDA's Education Committee judge the scholarship applications. This year's judges were:
