Hello my name is Oscar and I'm moving to San Rafael to work in Visual Concepts as a QA tester and would like to get some info.

Are their any people on the boards that need a roommate?

Is San Rafael a good place to live?

Any info on a place to rent or share a apartment?

Dood, I hope this doesn't get posted twice - my wi-fi is acting up.

A good place to look for a pad that needs some housemates would be:

This site is well-known for being on the up and up.

I gotta warn ya tho, having lived and worked in San Rafael for the last several years, a car is a must. San Rafael is a freaking bedroom/retirement community. (I'm still here cos I work at Factor 5, and my social life went missing some time ago d;^)

It's a great place to bike and hike and jog - and do your job, but it's pretty devoid of nitelife unless you've been here awhile and know where the parties and peeps are. - so a $5 toll trip into the city is a must if you want to have some fun.

If I were you, I'd think about getting a place more in southern Marin, (and closer to the freeway) like Corte Madera, or Mill Valley or something. That way you're going against the rush-hour traffic, and commuting's a breeze - like 10 minutes to work and 15 minutes to S.F.

(BTW if you look for a place in the Richmond District of San Francisco, or the Marina, they're superclose to the golden gate bridge - and you're going the opposit way of all the marin folks who work in the city, traffic's a breeze. Only thing is parking sucks is S.F. plenty of parking in Marin, tho.)

peace and good luck! d=^)
