..........Curious about chapters, seems empty here

Hi, I've just posted a question in another board, so I kind of feel obligated to give the community something in return. Unfortunately all I could think of was bumping this Phoenix chapter. I'm guesssing that no one in Phoenix is really involved in the game industry, which is really sad. I live in one of the outlying towns. Is the sole purpose of a chapter to meet people in your same area and talk about events being held in the area?
