Laser Shot Shooting Simulations (lasershot.com) is a worldwide manufacturer of shooting simulations for military, law enforcement, hunter education, and entertainment markets. Based in Stafford, TX, Laser Shot’s patented camera system is integral to its realistic interactive training programs.
JOB SUMMARY:
The candidate will be responsible for developing simulations for Laser Shot’s newest product line. The candidate should be proactive, reliable and must possess the ability to manage time and juggle work on several smaller projects, if needed. The candidate may be asked to participate in design decisions, and as such, should possess excellent oral and verbal communication skills. The candidate will work closely with artists and report directly to the Project Manager and/or Lead Programmer.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent coursework in a related field
- 1-3 years experience in C++; game programming preferred
- Knowledge of core game development principles
- Experience with Torque engine, or other commercial 3D engine, or mod experience
- Knowledge of and experience with firearms is a big plus.
- Submission of portfolio or sample code highly suggested
- Must be in Houston area. Relocation costs will not be reimbursed.
