Here in B'ham, we are needed for those neighbors on the coast, whom have lost their homes and the safety of their own city...
Anyone in need - please post here and include some contact info!
Many in this area can supply a place to stay, clothes, and funds for those without.
Another word I'd like to share - HOPE - we all hope for the best and safety for those lost and the families that are waiting for the news that their family is safe and alive.
I am from Biloxi and I spent most of my teenage weekends in New Orleans - my heart bleeds for the city that is lost to the waves and the other that seems to be swamped by the flooding waters that continue to come in over the levee - God Bless!
BTW - my Mom and her family, and my Dad and his family are all missing still.... i would welcome your prayers for their safety.

As you know, we have just experienced one of the worst natural disasters in our history. Our neighbors throughout the Gulf Coast region have suffered greatly in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, and their hardships are not going away anytime soon.
I ask that you remember these individuals in your thoughts and prayers as well as the emergency personnel and countless volunteers who are lending their services to the rescue and clean-up efforts. Let them know that our hearts go out to them.
If you are able, please donate to the American Red Cross (1-800-HELP-NOW) or the United Way to help the citizens of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama recover from this catastrophic natural disaster.
