Here is an idea for a location for a future Albany Chapter Meeting.
Le Caravelle – 257 Washington Ave Ext Albany 518-456-0292
They have 2 event rooms, one can hold up to 80 people. They book all kinds of meetings and events there.

Has this been looking in to? It sounds like it might be a good spot. Also do people have ideas on other spots that might be good? I think some important things are easily accessable parking, a good chunk of room for 30+ people, and the ability to book it without too much trouble, especially for a particular night. Take care.

This place hasn't been looked into - we looked at about 15 other places before settling on the current location for the last two meetings including a whole bunch of bars, restaurants and coffee shops on Lark Street and nearby, several places in Troy, RPI and the Albany Library. Wolf Road might be a good option due to limited parking on Lark Street.
It also may make it easier for folks not familiar with the area to get to. Any other ideas out there?

Anything around Wolf road would be great in my opinion. The parking should be a lot easier, there is a lot of places to eat nearby like the Red Lobster and the Olive garden and not to mention the mall. Also Wolf road is a lot closer to me than Albany which is a huge plus to me. How is the travel time to Wolf road for other people? Also I'm trying to think of what other places in that area might be willing to host us. There is a resturant actually that I can't remember the name that has a seperate room for birthday parties and stuff, maybe that would be a possibility. I'll try to get the name of the place from them tomorrow, as right now it is 2am, I think they would be upset if I called now. Take care.

The place was called the Barnsider that I was thinking of before . I think this is the correct webpage for it:
