Welcome to the IGDA and the industry, mate! Enjoy!
hi,
i'm new to igda but not new to game programming i would just like to say hi (as a new member)
hi.
Welcome to IGDA! Have you read the Breaking-In?
Welcome!
Hello and welcome....
Programming hurts my head
Welcome! Be sure to visit this page.

I suppose I should say 'Hi' - I'm re-emerging from my non-productive lurking stage.....
Welcome mate!
Hello,
My name's Sean. I'm a student at Michigan Technological University, majoring in Scientific and Technical Communications with a concentration in Enterprise (Game Design). Although my interests are wide-ranging, I'm focused and determined to getting myself into the Industry and into Design.
I suppose you can say I've either broken in, or I'm waiting to break in still, depending on your definition. I've been working for Husky Game Design, which is part of the 'Enterprise Program' that runs through my University. Basically, it is a recently founded, student run company for developing and marketting games. However, I'm getting college credits for it, not salary. So I'm saying 'not in yet'
.
During my time, I've worked heading up the art team, although I've currently have been moved over to leading a development team. I felt this was also a better match for me as well and my opinion hasn't been wavered yet.
I have been peeking through the IGDA's website on and off for some time now. I've also searched through the Breaking In page, which was a great source of information.
I look forward to becoming an active member of the community, and hopefully I'll get this free account turned into a paid one soon, too.

Hi,
My name is Matt, I'm a second year design student at Plymouth University (England), but I've been working as a weapons & environments concept artist for Pdark Mod for a good few months now & have recently picked up Hammer to assist with level production (I use AutoCad, but it doesn't transfer so well
).
I've been in a bit of a pickle as I used to really enjoy design, but this second year has just not felt right at all & the more I think about it, the more I realise that Pdark Mod gives me the most pleasure any form of working has ever given me.
After much thought I've decided to stick out the course (a degree is always useful) & whilst I'm here, develop a strong portfolio through PDMod, my own work & if I get the time, several other mods that have offered me work, with a view to one day hopefully working in the Games industry.
Hmm, a bit long, sorry

Hello all, I'm Pisal. I'm a full time lecturer in Assumption University (Thailand) teaching mostly a programming and game programming/design courses. On a professional game development experience, I've usually do contract work for a number of game companies. Anyway Thailand is still the backwaters in game development in Thailand so we're doing our best to boost things up in this area of the world.
On a short note, I'm rather active in arranging game development events/seminar in my part of the world, you can check out the site (http://www.gdxcon.org), though it is mostly in the local dialect :P
Oh well, I hope to pop here more often instead of being a silent listener as I used to do :P
Welcome all! How are you finding your stay?
A great big
