Best game of all time?
I'm interested to know what everyone's favorite games are, and why. My favorite game is a tie between Kings Field and Kings Field 2. I love these games because they are like classic doom in terms of gameplay and feature lots of non-linear exploration fun. It is a fantasy action rpg where you battle monsters in real time with swords and magic. These games are really old, being for the PS1 but I think they are well worth playing. As a note, I first played Kings Field 2 and hated it until I got fire magic, from then on it was pure love. What about everyone else? What do you think is the best game? Take care.

This is a tough decision, but I think it will go to Perfect Dark for the Nintendo 64, and is a First Person Shooter. I am not sure when the game was released (I would have to look at it again). The game has so many features and things to do, and you can tell that it was very well done and thought out. One thing I really like about it is Single Player. Single Player has 3 difficulty levels: Agent, Secret Agent, and Perfect Agent. Each step up in difficulty gives you a couple more objectives and things to do, which gives it a lot of replayability.
To Mixa, I think that Max Payne is a pretty good game, definitely one of my more favorite 3d person games, when I generally don't care for games in the 3rd person perspectives. I wonder how that game would be in first person. It would of been cool if you at least had the option to switch. The slow motion effect was pretty cool, and I think you were able to have some cool weapons, though I forget all of them. I think I enjoyed running around with the shotgun and blasting back groups of baddies at a time.
Thanks for your comments about LMS coop mixa! And as a note I did not ask him to say that!!
To The Master, I definitely agree that Perfect Dark is a great game. I can't even begin to imagine how much time and effort was put into that game. Not only do you have a ton of gameplay modes, but each mode is quite in depth. One mode that I find particuarly interesting is the counter-operative mode, where one player goes through the level as if they were playing the single player level, while the other player gets to play as the bad guys trying to stop the other player. Is this unique to Perfect Dark? I think it could very well be.
Also my favorite part is the Combat Simulator. Here you can set up scenarios of bots to fight against, choose the weapons, make your own character, select your map of preference, etc. There are so many weapons and maps to chose from, and not to mention a huge selection of bot types. My brother and I like to have a huge team of enemy bots against us, and have one crazy kaze sim on his own team because we love to see the kaze go around destorying everyone in sight. In addition there are challenges that range from 1-30, and the more you beat, the more new features it unlocks like new weapons and bot types. There is so much to the game that it would take me a good part of the day to even talk about all of its cool features.
Has anyone played the Xbox 360 version of Perfect Dark? I'm interested to know how it compares. Take care guys and thanks for your posts. Also feel to add in other games that you liked, especially runner ups.

My favourite game is definetly Max Payne. what makes it so special is the rich film noir style, enviroment, enemies, bullet time, shoot dodges, music and story telling method ( those blurry cartoon pictures ). it is old game (2001) but it still has some what active modding community. only bad thing that I can think of is that there is no multiplayer available. but still I found it the best pc game ever. also the sequel Max Payne 2 : the fall of max payne is great too.
Btw, most respected mod in the history is doom 3 : lms mod. you guys have made very, and I mean like really friggin' cool job on doom 3 engine.
