Video Games Live

Hi Everyone!,
My name is Tommy Tallarico, I have been a video game composer and audio designer for over 16 years. I've also been hosting and producing two video game television shows for over 10 years which are currently syndicated worldwide (The Electric Playground & Judgment Day). I'm an Advisory Board member for the Game Developers Conference, Governor for the NARAS/GRAMMY foundation, Peer Panel Leader for the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences, proud IGDA member and the founder and president of the non-profit organization Game Audio Network Guild (G.A.N.G.).
I am contacting you in regards to the concert event I created and produce entitled Video Games Live.
Description:
"Video Games Live is an immersive concert event featuring music from the biggest video games of all time. Top orchestras and choirs across the country perform along with exclusive video footage and music arrangements, lasers, synchronized lighting, solo performers, electronic percussionists, live action and unique interactive segments to create an explosive one-of-a-kind entertainment experience.
Special events surround the show, including a pre-show festival and post-show events. Guests will enjoy interactive game demos, a costume contest, and the very popular meet-and-greet with top game composers and designers."

In a time when the only mainstream news about the industry seems to be negative... This is a concert event put on by the video game industry to help encourage and support the culture and art that video games have become. VGL bridges a gap for entertainment by exposing new generations of music lovers and fans to the symphonic orchestral experience while also providing a completely new and unique experience for families and/or non-gamers. The show is heralded and enjoyed by the entire family. It's a symphony mixed with rock-n-roll special effects & lighting all synchronized to amazing cutting edge video screen visuals and special on-stage interactive segments with the crowd.
WE ARE COMING BACK TO THE HOLLYWOOD BOWL THIS YEAR!
COULD YOU PLEASE LET EVERYONE IN YOUR AREA & CHAPTER KNOW ABOUT THE EVENT.

ALSO!! We are looking for designers, composers, artists, producers, programmers, etc. who would be willing to take part in our post-show meet & greet. If there are people in your group that have worked on some well-known games PLEASE have them contact me so we can bring them up on stage and have them sign autographs after the show. We normally get 25%-30% of the entire audience staying afterwards to meet people in the industry.
Some of our past meet & greets have consisted of industry people such as:
Hollywood Bowl show: http://videogameslive.com/index.php?s=losangeles
San Jose show: http://videogameslive.com/index.php?s=sanjose
Seattle show: http://videogameslive.com/index.php?s=seattle
Please help us to raise awareness for this groundbreaking event.
Thank-you for any kind of support you can give us. The most challenging part of doing something so unique and new like this is raising awareness in the community. Because the show is so different we have always found that the best way to communicate the experience is by friends & colleagues telling other friends and colleagues.
Please help us to spread the word.
If you have any comments or questions PLEASE let me know.
Hope to see you at the show! Let me know if you would like to attend our rehearsals taking place earlier in the day.

VGL in the schools and universities: We work with the local Visitors Bureau and Board of Education as well as the "Grammy in the Schools" program to raise awareness of the arts, music and culture by inviting classes to come down during rehearsals for a tour and "behind-the-scenes" look at the show as well as speaking with industry professionals.
We also made a non-profit deal with Alfred Publishing in which we gave them all of our orchestrations and arrangements so that over 60,000+ schools and universities across North America will be able to play their favorite music for Drum Corps, Marching Band or School Orchestra.
