Game Developers
I didn't see where else to put this so here goes:
I'm looking at getting EI funding for the game design program at the Art Institute of Vancouver - Burnaby.
One of the things that EI requires is that I contact five potential employers and ask them eleven questions, ranging from experience required to which schools they hire from.
I talked to Maurice Maginn (Associate Director of Admissions) and he indicated that most companies don't like to do 'information interviews'. I realize that they're all busy people, but they require new blood on occasion.
I'm wondering if anyone knows who I can talk to about this. I've been designing games/ models for more than ten years (almost fifteen), first on paper then Illustrator and 3DS Max (currently possess Max3.1). I even created a paper RPG once many years ago (when I was about 13 years old).
Several of my game ideas have come to pass (from others of course - Supreme Commander, Spore, Star Wars: Empires at War to name a few). I have many others that I want to unleash on the world (muwwahahhaaha-hah-uh...um...sorry
that was my out loud voice wasn't it?). I want to be able to say that that I was the one created it, or at least had a hand creating a title as big as these.
Any help would be welcome. Thank you in advance.
