New to Calgary
Hello -
I recently moved to Calgary and was happy to see that an IGDA Chapter was here. As the last place I lived did not have meetings close enough for me to attend.
I was wondering when the next meeting was going to be, or the next level up meeting for that matter.

Seems like a pretty quiet forum.
I check here quite often. Not much going on. I missed the last couple meetings because of other reservations. I have been eagerly awaiting the next meeting. 
How are the meetings here? Hopefully more exciting than the forum.
I checked out your website....nice stuff...I always liked the megaman series myself, so the megabot game is cool. I didn't play much but it was fun.

I wish I knew how the meetings were my friend. I haven't been to any since all this was started.

Well, maybe if we can get a couple more people interested we could do like you suggested and at least have a get together and have a couple drinks.

Welcome to Calgary Brian! Sorry it has been so long since I addressed your concerns! Truth is i have been swamped between Level Up, Digital Alberta (former DMAA) and my own company to visit the IGDA forums lately! I apologize for that! As you can see there hasn't been a lot of activity here recently... however...
I wanted you to know that Calgary and it’s game industry is actually more active than ever since March!! Level Up as you know is the new association that started here in town and so far we've had 3 major successful events featuring some great speakers so far, including a social event we had sometime in July which would fit the description of the type of an event that you were looking to attend here in town! There was also recently a Digital Alberta mixer that took place downtown Calgary which was a great networking opportunity. As you can see there are a lot of exciting stuff happening around town!
Why don't you send me your e-mail address at george at dreamgazers dot com and i can include you on the mailing list for all the exciting things happening in town! I would love to meet you in person and hear all about your endeavors in the industry!
