Hey everyone!

We're all missing the SF IGDA meetings. So much so, that we decided to start our own informal group.

It's called the SF Postmortem and you can read about it here:
http://www.unknownworlds.com/postmortem

The first gathering will be on November 20th at 7pm at a location to be announced. The group we have already is quite experienced and fun and I think a good time will be had by all.

Sign up on our list and come join us!

Thanks for doing this Charlie,

I hope your first get together went well!

Thanks as well. The more chances for developers to meet and network, the better.

I would also like to mention the SF Game Development meetup.com group, which has been running for about 5 years. They are organized by Casey, a designer at Crystal Dynamics.

Our first meeting seemed to be enjoyed by all - around 20 people showed up. We found a nice alcove in the Thirsty Bear which we had almost all to ourselves and there was mucho networking to be found. I was noticing that it was quite entrepreneurial in general.

Thanks for the news post lexander!

The post on unknown says the 29th, but the google calendar is the 22nd ... which one is it?? *rolls dice*. Hrm, snake eyes. Does that mean both? Wink

I signed up on their mail list like a month and a half ago.... but still haven't received an email notice about the January meetup. So I have no idea which of the dates is correct.
