Want to work on a Casual MMO?

Sierra Online is looking for a Game Systems Programmer to design and develop game systems for our innovative Casual Massively-Multiplayer Online titles currently in development. Based on an original IP, this Casual MMO will have market appeal in both western and eastern markets.

Located in Issaquah, and minutes from Seattle in the lovely northwest, Sierra Online Seattle has a large number of game veterans committed to making games in a low-ego, highly collaborative and fun environment.

Responsibilities
• Design and develop technical aspects of game systems, including game rules and logic, object persistence, character behavior, and UI.
• Work as part of the core game development team to meet milestones and design goals with high quality standards.
• Create technical design documents describing the game systems you design and develop.
• Work with programmers, producers, quality assurance, and management to achieve feature and performance goals.
• Work with the client leads, tools leads, and services leads to establish and maintain coding processes, standards, and methodologies.

Requirements
• 2+ years game systems development experience.
• Development experience with a dynamic language (e.g. Python) a strong plus.
• Previous experience creating game systems for multiplayer online games is highly desirable.
• Linux and Windows development experience a strong plus.
• B.S. in computer science or a related field a strong plus.
• Experience working with Agile development teams a plus.
